Fraser Watson

He designs and implements large-scale field research on plant community and soil health to inform land management. Fraser leads multidisciplinary restoration efforts, collaborating with producers, universities, government, and industry partners. He is valued for his scientific rigor, field experience, and ability to translate complex research into practical strategies for maximizing land restoration, soil health, and plant diversity and productivity.
Fraser will assist with all complex land management and biochar application questions.

Dr. Michael Watson
Michael is a physician, timber framer, conservationist, and problem solver. Michael was stationed in Missouri while serving as an U.S. Air Force flight surgeon and decided to plant roots there. He has the most hands-on experience with the Charboss. When it is not in the field, Michael uses the CharBoss to produce 5-10 yards of biochar per week at his home in Columbia, Missouri.
Michael will assist with all biochar purchases and CharBoss operating questions.
Admiral Jim Watson
Admiral Watson retired from the US Coast Guard in 2012. After his second career as senior vice president of American Bureau of Shipping in Houston Texas ended in 2020, he and his wife, bought a home on 6 acres in Lusby, Maryland, where they developed an interest in woodland management, gardening and runoff retention.
Jim began a mini-forest restoration and, instead of disposing forest debris by incineration or land fill, Jim made biochar for their meadow gardens and for runoff control.
The next year they bought 50 mostly wooded acres in Columbia, Missouri which is being
preserved and has a conservation plan, except where their son, Dr. Michael Watson lives and manages Missouri MobileChar.
Jim hopes that Michael and his brother Fraser will fill the
emerging demand for locally processed biochar in Missouri and throughout the US.
